I loved reading the article because finding something in this particular area is hard to find, so far, for me.

His one sentence

  • Formal logic abstracts away and looks for patterns. With a bit of algebra, variables, and so on.

That is an oversimplification of formal logic which borderlines to ignorance and his sentence about fallacy is entirely not recommendable. Fallacies can be found in the news and in our daily lives - true, but Syntactic ambiguity is not a good example.

I took formal logic and this is not it.
