I’m trying to learn what to look for in the data that will increase sign-ups and sales.

I realized that I have a book called, Convert! Designing Web Sites to Increase Traffic and Conversion by Benjamin Hunt, and section 2 is about funnel analysis.

Web Analytics 2.0 also looks like it might be good.

And another idea:
