I tend to lean towards minimalism on the frontend (JS & CSS) for content-based sites, so I think these ideas are worth examining. 
With the new version I wanted to prove that it was possible to deliver an amazing user experience with a great design while drastically reducing the complexity of the code, maximizing reliability, and minimizing the cost to the end user . I’ve got the frontend to a state that I’m really proud of.
