I installed a plugin called “Team Building” just to see how it works. It doesn’t seem very configurable at the moment, but you can check it out on this page:

It gives you a checklist of items that you can do so that you can work your way up the leaderboard.
The link should work for anyone who has spent at least 10 minutes reading the forum and looked at at least 30 posts (trust level 1).
I like the idea! Motivates me to try make a pull request.
One thing though, what is the chat room? Is it this forum or the slack?
Slack is the chatroom, Discourse (this site) is the forum.

Hmm, I gave programming tips twice. Yay tied for 2nd. 
This plugin doesn’t have many configuration options or features, but maybe we could build a similar feature into the new website. There could be challenges, like a list of coding problems or a checklist of 10 small apps that people could build.
