“Can you use the terminal for everything?”

Here’s a summary, with some additions in brackets:

- [WordGrinder](http://cowlark.com/wordgrinder/) for word processing. [Alternatively, you can use Vim or any text editor and then run it through pandoc directly from the editor.]
- [SC](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sc_(spreadsheet_calculator)) - for spreadsheets [Org Mode in Emacs can also do this]
- [Mutt](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mutt_(email_client)) for email [Also search this forum for Emacs mail clients and notmuch.]
- [Lynx](https://lynx.browser.org/) and [Elinks](http://elinks.or.cz/) for web browsing.
- [VLC](https://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html) for watching videos (`vlc -V caca https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X3Os6vJxpu0` for color or `vlc -V aa https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X3Os6vJxpu0` without color)
- [Twidge](https://github.com/jgoerzen/twidge) for Twitter

I had an annoying bug this morning, unable to see an .md file in my GUI finder window that I used to test out my blog (connected to my Dropbox). Terminal to save the day! Happy this post from @Josh exists.
